What is Counseling?

Counseling is a confidential process designed to help you address concerns, come to a greater understanding of yourself, and learn effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies. It involves a relationship between you and a trained therapist who has the desire and willingness to help you accomplish your goals. Counseling involves sharing sensitive, personal, and private information that may at times be distressing. During the course of counseling, there may be periods of increased anxiety or confusion. Your therapist is available to support you throughout the counseling process. In the event that sessions become unduly stressful, please alert your therapist immediately.

GRACE Counseling Services, including individual, group, family, couples and pastoral counseling are offered through the Telehealth practice of Dr. Katurah Jenkins-Hall and associates. Dr. Jenkins-Hall is a Christian, Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 35 years of experience, who is also an associate pastor.  While there is no guarantee that the counseling can assist you with your particular problem(s), many people benefit from the restoration process including spiritual directives and other behavioral health skills and resources offered by our services.

The services are designed as short-term spiritually-based personal counseling sessions (an average of 3 sessions, 60-90 minutes each) which include providing appropriate scriptures and prayers if desired.
